Antonia M. Armijo

A rosary is scheduled for 7 pm, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 403 Valencia St., Las Vegas, NM for Antonia Armijo 73, who passed Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Sunset Villa Care Center. A memorial mass is scheduled for 1:30 pm, Thursday, August 16, 2012 also at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish. Antonia was cremated according to her wishes and her cremains will be buried at a later date.

Antonia was born June 16, 1939 in Las Vegas, NM to Domitilio and Josefita M. Sandoval Martinez. Her parents preceded her in death. She married Gonzalo D. Armijo in Santa Fe, NM. He survives her at the family home.

Antonia is also survived by her sons Michael Armijo, John Armijo and wife Debbe, Robert J. Armijo and wife Janet all of Santa Fe, NM, Chris Armijo and wife Melissa of Roswell, David Armijo and Eddie Roybal and wife Marcia her brothers Luis Martinez and wife Adelina of Gallinas, NM and Herman Martinez and wife Linda of Gallinas, NM grandchildren Craig, John Jr., Carolee, Kiana, Terrance, Tiedra, Marissa, Chris Jr. Jaclyn, Tommy, Aliah, Paul, Albert, Mary, Justa, Ricci Renee and Jade great grandchildren Ashlee, Shantel, Alicia, Aaliyah and Paul Jr. Also surviving her is her goddaughter Erica Gifford. There are also many more family members and friends to mention who loved her.

Antonia was a great cook and loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being outdoors. Antonia had a special whistle to wake the family up. She worked as a Teachers Aide at W LV Jr. High School and also as County Clerk in San Miguel County. Antonia will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew her.
