Annie Hernandez Pena

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at St. Judes Catholic Church in San Patricio, for Annie H. Pena, 85, of San Patricio, New Mexico, who passed away October 27, 2007. A funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at St. Judes Catholic Church. Rev. Alfred Galvan will officiate, burial will follow at San Patricio Cemetery. Annie will lie in state at the St. Judes Catholic Church Tuesday, prior to her rosary.

Annie was born on July 26, 1922 in Ruidoso, New Mexico to Estevan Hernandez and Miquela Hernandez. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as a son, Michael Gutierrez, brother, Charlie Hernandez, sister, Connie Montez and a grandson Steven Chavez.

Annie married Robert Gutierrez, Jr. in Hondo, New Mexico, he preceded her in death as well as her second husband Eusenvio Pena.

Annie is survived by her sons; Ellie Gutierrez and wife Veronica of LA Luz, NM, Joe Louise Gutierrez and wife Carol of Mayhill, NM, Robert Gutierrez III and wife Belinda of Hondo, NM, daughter; Novelda Chavez and husband Eddie of Hondo, NM, brothers; Mike Hernandez and wife Pilar of Ruidoso, NM, Steve Hernandez and wife Pricilla of Roswell, NM, Tony Hernandez of Garden City, MO, Albert Hernandez and wife Isabell of Carrizozo, NM, Bill Hernandez and wife Betty of Alamogordo, NM, Joe Hernandez and wife Viola of Hondo, NM, sisters; Patsy Guajaca of Roswell, NM, Lucy Montez and husband Jesus of Alamogordo, NM, Helen Aragon of Albuquerque, NM, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Annies main hobby was gardening. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of St. Judes and was in the St. Judes choir. She will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Ellie Gutierrez, Joe Gutierrez, Robert Gutierrez, Eddie Chavez, Chris Gutierrez and Sam Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Gutierrez, Adam Gutierrez and Jaime Chavez.
