Anna Martinez born in Roswell, NM to her loving parents Gabriella and Eugene Rodriguez. Anna was the most caring, loving, warm hearted friend, mom, sister, aunt and grandma that anyone could ask for. She was the one we would go to if we needed advice, listening ear. Or just need someone to be there.

Survived bye her loving husband Daniel G. Martinez; son Eric Martinez; daughters Amy and Destiny Martinez; grandkids Eric, Angelo, Nevaeh and Mika. Also surviving her are her sisters and brothers Eddy, Carmelo and wife Marylou, Junior, Sara and Lollie, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her dad Eugene; daughter Adriane Martinez, sister Terri Castaneda and niece Savannah Castaneda.

Anna enjoyed painting, long drives and taking pictures of clouds. She will be missed dearly.

A prayer service will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home with funeral service being held at 10:00 am, Friday, August 27, 2021 also at Ballard Funeral Home.

I think of things you used to say and all that you would do.

At some point every single day my thoughts will turn to you.

To lose you was a bitter wrench, the pain cut to my core.

I cried until my tears ran out and then I cried some more.

This wouldn’t be your wish for me that I’d be forever sad,

So, I try to remind myself of the happy times we had.

I know I can’t be with you now and you can’t be with me,

But safe inside my heart you’ll stay, that’s where you’ll always be.
