Anna Mae Ware Brown, former resident of Roswell entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 20, 2009. in Dallas, Texas. A home-going celebration will be held there on Thursday, June 24 with Pastor A. D. Campbell, Tabernacle MBC officiating.
Mrs. Brown was born on January 9, 1917 to Lizzie and Smocker Hunter in Beirne, Arkansas. She was one of eleven children and is survived by two brothers and two sisters.
Anna Mae married the Reverend M.D. Ware in 1943. Together they established Wares Tabernacle Baptist Church in Roswell and were active lifelong members. Reverend Ware died in 1968. In 1985, Anna Mae and Clayton Brown were married. Mr. Brown preceded her in death in 2007.
A family and friends hour will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ballard Funeral Home in Roswell on Friday, June 26, 2009. Graveside services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 am at South Park Cemetery with Pastor Richard Gorham, of Wares Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiating.
