Angela Castle

Private family memorial mass will be held for Angela S. Castle, 84, who passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Mission Arch Care Center.

Angie was born July 27, 1929 in Dunkirk, NY to Vincent Spina and Frances Del Popolo. Her parents preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her sister Santa Speziale and brother Johnny Spina. She married Anthony Castle on November 23, 1950 in Dunkirk, NY he survives her at the family home in Roswell.

Also surviving her are her sons Dr. James Castle and wife Ellen of Roswell and Dr. Stephen Castle and wife Linda of Loveland, CO sister Josephine Morgan of Jamestown, NY and her grandchildren Nicholas Castle and wife Katrina of Lubbock, TX, Zachary Castle of Glendale, AZ, Samantha Castle of Lubbock, TX, Jordan Castle, Nathan Castle and Elise Castle all of Loveland, CO.

Angie received her degree in Music Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She later returned to earn her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She was very active in the class room writing plays and musicals for her students.

She was a professional vocalist releasing a number of songs through MGM records. The list includes: Candy and Cake, Youll Never Know, My Loving Baby and Lets Pretend. She toured in Pittsburg, Cleveland, Detroit and Chicago with the Tommy Carlyn Band. Angie also appeared on a TV program for
many years in western NY.
