Andres Henry Horton
A rosary was held on Friday January 19, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church for Andres Henry Horton, age 93, of Roswell, who passed away January 18, 2007 at a local care center. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2007, at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr Juan Montoya, O.F.M. will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.
Andres was born on March 30, 1913 to Walter and Teresita Lopez Horton in Picacho, New Mexico. Both parents preceded him in death. Andres married Lola Lopez on September 16, 1939 in Vaughn, New Mexico. She preceded him in death as well as one son, Toby Horton; one granddaughter, Nicole Lucero; four brothers, Manuel, Abran, Paublo, and Felipe; five sisters, Clarita, Tonita, Pilar, Mable and Teresita.
He is survived by his sons: Abran Horton and wife Mary of Odessa, TX, Ray Horton and wife Gloria of Dexter, New Mexico, Jimmy Horton and wife Linda of Roswell, Ernesto Horton of Roswell and Larry Horton and wife Nancy of Roswell; his daughters: Nancy Pacheco of Roswell, Lucy Chavez of Roswell and Stella Rivera and husband Jesus of Roswell; 28 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Andres was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church. He loved to play the guitar and played in the Joy Center Band and also shot pool at the Joy Center. He was an outgoing person. He talked to everyone, and loved to joke around and dance.
Pallbearers will be Santiago Horton, Jesus Rivera, Steve Chavez, Isaac Horton, Anthony Horton, Ernesto Horton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Joe Horton, Eugene Montoya, Michael Montoya, Alex Horton Jr., Abran Horton Jr., Leann Horton, Monica Chavez, Monique Pacheco, Michelle Horton, Esther Horton, Valerie Espinosa, Crystal Horton, Andrea Montanez, Manuel Horton, Greg Pacheco Sr., Manuel Rivera, Karina Horton, Amy Horton, Denise Horton, Richard Horton and Toby Horton Jr.

The family would like to give a special thank you for all the prayers and kindness. To all the families in and out-of-town, who came to share with us our dads call to our heavenly father.
