Ambrosia R. Lara

Ambrosia R. Lara was born on March 26, 1927 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to parents Sinforoso and Maria J Ramirez. She passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010 in Merced California at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by nine siblings, Frank Ramirez, Eugenia Flores, Chonita Aguilar, Susie Ortega, Leonor Redman, Cosme Ramirez, Fidela Martinez, Adolfo Ramirez, Daniel Ramirez. She is survived by her sister Gloria Sedillo.
She was also preceded in death by her late husband Joe C. Lara. She is also survived by her six children, John Welch, Nancy W. Brink, Angela W. Lara, Marianne Lara, Joe Lara and Victor Lara. She also leaves behind twentytwo grandchildren and twentysix great grandchildren. She was a great homemaker and a wonderful mother who will be missed tremendously.
You will always be on our mind and in our hearts. You were the greatest mother a person can ask for. You were our best friend, always there through the bad times and the good. I came to you for advice and you always knew what to say. You raised all your grandkids as your own. I know youve gone to be with Jesus, and will be waiting for all your children. I know youll always be looking down on us. I cant wait to see your beautiful smile again. We Love you Mom.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is to follow at South Park Cemetery.
