Amalia M. Donovan
Amalia M. Donovan, 61, born February 3, 1958, in Artesia passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 in Roswell. She was a teacher for the Roswell Independent School District and retired after 17 ½ years. She attended The Door Christian Church and had been in the community since 1999.
Amalia was born to Jose (Simon) H. Mendoza and Maria Del Refugio “Cuca” Ponce.
She is preceded in death by her father Jose H. Mendoza and Marlena Mendoza Guzman her beloved niece.
Those left to cherish her in memory are her mom Maria Del Refugio “Cuca” Ponce: her two sons Jason Osborn and Jarred Donovan and daughter Meghan Donovan: sisters Vangie Quintero and husband Richard, Gloria Hoff and husband Bill, Alicia Segovia, Rachael Pratt and husband Jayson, Melinda Mendoza: brothers Joe Mendoza and wife Irene, Adam Mendoza and wife Andra, David Mendoza and wife Charlotte and Michael Mendoza: grandchildren Alexandar Ortiz, Eternal Hagstrom, Everleigh Hagstrom, Samuel Hagstrom, Saphrine Johnson, Samantha Donovan, Max Lopez, Josiah Mendoza, Rayana Donovan, Joshua Donovan, Xadrian Donovan, Brandon Donovan, Kenneth Donovan, Lexi Donovan, Addison Donovan and Leeane Donovan.
Those serving as pallbearers are Jason Osburn, Jarred Donovan, David Mendoza, Adam Mendoza, Joe Mendoza and Richard Quintero

Visitation will be held at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel 3 pm to 7 pm Thursday, January 23, 2020, with funeral service will be held at 2:00, Friday, January 24, 2020 also at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at South Park Cemetery.
