Amable Lucero

A rosary will be held at 7: 00 p.m. on Friday January 5, 2007, at St. Johns Catholic Church for Amable Lucero, age 77, of Roswell, who passed away on January 1, 2007, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at St. Johns Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Amable was born May 14, 1929, to Miguel and Annie Lucero, in Arabela, New Mexico. Both parents precede him in death.

On May 23, 1943, Amable married Mary Librada in Roswell, NM. She also precedes him in death.

Amable is survived by his sons; Ernest Lucero wife Patricia of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Frank B. Lucero wife Gloria, of Roswell, New Mexico, Richard Lucero, of Roswell, New Mexico, and Michael R. Lucero wife Diane of Albuquerque,

New Mexico; his daughter; Betty Garcia, of Roswell, New Mexico; his brothers; Ruben Lucero of Dexter, New Mexico and Carlos Lucero, of Roswell, New Mexico; his sister; Eliser Mireles of Dexter, New Mexico; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Amable was special to all who knew him. He was a very positive and loving dad, grandpa, uncle, and neighbor. To the kids he was the grandpa with all the answers. He always showed each and everyone how much they were loved. We were so blessed to have such a sweet and wonderful man in our lives.
