Alvis Lodene Jordan

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Ballard Chapel for Alvis Lodene Jordan 86, who passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Mission Arch Care Center. Pastor Rick Hale will be officiating. Alvis will lie in state Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Ballard Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Alvis was born June 26, 1926 in Marthasville, Louisiana to Alvie and Della Cutright Cody. Her parents preceded her in death. Alvis is also preceded in death by her first husband Bryant Bristow and her second husband Johnny Jordan.

Alvis is survived by her son Vance Bristow and wife Denise Capreppa of Evergreen, CO daughters Brenda Stewart and husband Laban of Cedar Park, TX and Nina Newton of Albuquerque, NM sister Ella Williard and husband Calvin of Waco, TX her four grandchildren Dee Bristow and husband Bill, Chad Stewart and wife Tami, Summer Wood and husband James and Natalie Niemi and husband Ryan and two great grandchildren Chase and Carly Stewart.

Alvis was a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved to garden and fish.
