Alice Helmstetler

Alice Helmstetler, 68, died Sunday, November 23, 2008, in Big Spring, Texas. Alice was born May 25, 1940, in Lone Rock,. Oregon, to Robert and Leola Griggs. She attended school in Oregon and married Garland Helmstetler Sr. in California May 17, 1956. He died in March of 1982.

She is survived by two sons, Garland Helmstetler Jr: and Mindy Brady of Odessa, Texas, and Tim Helmstetler and wife Marty of Big Springs, Texas; two daughters, Tracy Helms and. husband Joe, and Shandra Posey and husband Jay, all of Texline, Texas, 12 grandchildren, Eric and Tammy Helmstetler, Lorri and Carlos DeSantis, Amanda and Freddie Nasrallah, Cody and Vanessa, Cory and Dorothy, Casey and Chance Helms, Daniel Smith, Amy Barnes, Joshua Hehnstetler, and Clay, Coy and Amber Posey; 17 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jayden, Breanna, Krysten, Roddy, Abel, Freddie James, Dylan, Lane, Dusty, Payton, Courtney-, Kyla, Chelsey, Cody, Chris and Cleo; sisters Aloha and Hazel of Oregon; sister-in-law Carla and Johnny Clements of Roswell; father-in-law Earl Helmstetler of Roswell;-and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.

She was loved and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son Richard Helmstetler in 1957. Graveside services will be held at South Park Cemetery in Roswell on Saturday, December 6, at 11:00 a.m.
