The Rev. Alfred David Deutsch
It's time to honor our beloved father Al Deutsch, also known as husband, Pastor, friend, mentor, brother and grandfather... Al resided in Roswell nm and moved to heaven on Monday, December 21, 2015, where he is now reunited with his beloved wife of 57 years, Dolores (Dee) Deutsch, who preceded him 3 years ago. Remaining here on earth are his sister, Sue Perkins of Baskingridge, New Jersey, one daughter; Damaris Deutsch of Bixby, three sons; David Deutsch and wife Bobbie, of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Rev. Stephen Deutsch and wife Amy, of Dexter, New Mexico and Rev. Paul Deutsch and wife Lisa, of Jefferson City, Missouri, 7 grandchildren; Kelli, Kristen, Brianna, Nick, Ben, Anna and Jared, and great granddaughters Kara and Kayla, and other family members.
Al ministered in Illinois, Venezuela, Indiana, Michigan and was honored as Pastor Emeritus at Delta Presbyterian Church where he served for more than 30 years. Beyond his friends and family, his passions were gardening, music, chocolate, bananas, and reading. He was a consummate pastor, and made innumerable hospital calls and visits. He was never a complainer, and knew the truth of 2 Corinthians 1 that we comfort others with the comfort God grants us. He was bright, well read, loved joking around, and had a lot of personality. There are too many admirable qualities to list. He touched many lives and leaves an ongoing legacy of loving others.
A visitation is scheduled in Roswell, NM on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Ballard Funeral Home for Al. His children will hold graveside services at Bellevue Cemetery, Bellevue, Nebraska next week.
