Albert “Bubba” Louis Montoya

A rosary will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church at 7 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019 for Albert “Bubba” Louis Montoya, 33, who passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in Hobbs, NM. Funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday, December 27, 2019 also at St. Peters Catholic Church. Graveside service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Ballard Funeral Home.

Bubba was born December 14, 1986 to Victor Montoya Sr. and Raquel Briones but raised and adopted by his grandparents Louis and Roseann Montoya in Roswell, NM.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Albert Montoya Jr. and Isaiah Montoya; step-son Jimmy Ray Quintana; biological parents Victor Montoya Sr. and Raquel Briones; brothers Louis Montoya Jr., Lil Vic Montoya, LeRoy Montoya and Joseph Montoya; sisters Reynalda Montoya, Anita Montoya, Lisette Briones, Annette Montoya, Yvette Gonzalez, Selina Montoya, Victoria Hernandez and Autumn Najar and girlfriend Genevieve Ortega. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bubba was preceded in death by his grandparents Louis and Roseann Montoya, Juliana and Maurice Briones; brother Frank Montoya and his best friend and mother of his children Desiree Najar.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Chris Montoya, Anthony Montoya, Carlitos Montoya, Lil Vic Montoya, Oscar Loya and Heve Briones. Honorary pallbearers are Sammy Escobar and Albert Gomez.
