Sonny Wiginton, 74, of Roswell New Mexico passed away in his home on January 16th, 2015 at 12:20 AM. He was born in Altus, OK on November 25th, 1940 to Delbert and Elizabeth Wiginton. Sonny was married to Terri Wiginton for 53 years who survives him at the family home.
Also surviving are his son Ken Wiginton and his wife Cynthia of Ft. Worth, TX; his daughter Kelli and her husband Bryce of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; two grandsons Brayden and Nez; three sisters Lynda Pittman of Seiling, OK, Betty Klementovich of Lawton, OK and Judy Alley of Lawton, OK, and several cousins.
Sonny was a resident of Roswell for over 34 years he played football all 4 years and graduated from ENMU, as well as receiving his master's in business education ENMU. He coached high school football in Texas before coming to Goddard High to coach football; he finally ended his career coaching football and golf at NMMI. Sonny loved coaching for all of those years, golfing with his friends, and spending time with his family.
There will be a celebration of Sonny's life sometime in March.
