Luis Ramiro Hernandez

Luis was born on March 18, 1975 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jesus and Martha Hernandez. He grew up in Chihuahua where he lived a wonderful life in Ojo Laguna, Chihuahua up until he came to Roswell with his parents.

Luis enjoyed the outdoors, cook-outs with his family and bomb fires with his friends but most of all he loved spending time with his little princess “Kai”. She was the sunshine of his eyes and his little shadow, everywhere he went she went. He also loved horses and enjoyed the ranch life, that’s where he would spend his time feeding the animals and spending time with his two grandbabies. Luis was a wonderful person, son, father, husband, brother, uncle, grandpa, and friend. He had a personality of gold, didn’t know a stranger, and would take his shirt off for you if you needed it.

Luis lived in Roswell up until he met the love of his life Maribel then he moved to Carlsbad where he made it his home up until his death.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Maribel Barron of their home in Carlsbad; daughters Kaileen Camilla of Carlsbad, Lucia and Luiz Hernandez of  Roswell; step-children Jacqueline Grado, Christopher Grado of Carlsbad and Alondra Hernandez of Roswell; grandchildren Francisco Ramiro Hernandez, and Martin Luciano Morones of Roswell; parents Jesus and Martha Hernandez of Roswell; brothers Jesus Hernandez Jr., and Jaime (Karina) Hernandez; sisters Olivia Hernandez, Gloria (Salvador) Avila, and Cecilia (Rolando) Mendoza; daughter-in-law Cece Ibarra and son-in-law Martin Morones of Roswell. Also surviving him are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who he loved very much and many friends whom he cherished. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and mother-in-law.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at. St. Peters Catholic Church with mass being held at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Luiz Hernandez Jr., Christopher Grado, Aaron Avila, Christian Hernandez, Jesus Mendoza, and Jaime Hernandez Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Kaileen Camilla Hernandez.
