A memorial service is scheduled at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Earsley "Chico" Barnett, III, 36, who passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. Father Josh Duplissey, OFM of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church will be officiating. The family will be accepting visitation from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday, April 10, 2015 at Ballard Funeral Home.
Earsley Barnett, III was born December 30, 1978 to Earsley Barnett, Jr. and Josephine Morones in Roswell, NM. Chico, a catholic member of St. John's Church, lived all his life in Roswell, NM. He was free spirited, loved hanging out with friends and family, especially his mom. Chico enjoyed playing with his niece and nephew, shooting darts, traveling, gambling, backgammon, dominos and dice. He also enjoyed the outdoors as he went camping, cooking on the grill, fishing, hiking and listen to music.
Chico is also survived his parents, Earsley Barnett, Jr. and Josephine Morones; brother, Bobby Lee Barnett; sister-in-law Corrina Madril; nephew Jerimiah Benjamin Lee Barnett and niece Carmen Olivia Barnett; uncles Gary Brown, Billy Brown, Lorenzo Morones, Ruben Morones and Mario Morones; aunts Faye Barnett, Vicky Brinkley, Leisha Brown, Hilda Quiroz and Silvia Scherff; special cousins Dawndria Scherff, Tikki Wallace, Bea Wallace, John Leaton, Adan Morones and Kyle Brown. He is also survived by a very special friend Laura Aguilar.
Preceding in death are his grandmother, Willie Mae Brown; grandfather, Earsley Barnett, Sr.; grandmother, Soledad Morones; grandfather, Roman Morones; uncle, Benjamin Brown; uncle, Carlos Morones; uncle, Bobby Lee Brown; and cousin, Javier Cruz.
Honorary pallbearers are Adan, Ruben Jr., Gabe, Ernie, Eli, Ish, and Billy.
