Henry R. Lucero
Henry, 59 of Roswell, NM, went on to meet our Lord Jesus Christ on March 26, 2018.
Henry was born to Antonio B. Lucero and Estela Reyes on June 19, 1958. Henry was born and raised in Roswell, NM.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Henry attended NMSU of Las Cruces. Henry enjoyed golfing, was a Boy Scout, an Altar Boy for St. Peter's Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Youth Organization, serving as Vice President. He coached Basketball at the Yucca Recreational Center and The Boys and Girls Club, coached Baseball at Noon Optimist, and played Church League Basketball.
Those who proceeded him in death are his Father Antonio B. Lucero and Brother Anthony S. Lucero.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: Mother, Estela Lucero of Roswell, N.M. Son, Joshua Lucero and his wife Thayer of London, England and grandson, Landon Garcia of Albuquerque, N.M. Son, Keenan Lucero and wife Savannah of Albuquerque, N.M., and Janette Lucero, mother of his sons. Brother, Richard D. Lucero of Roswell, N.M. Sisters, Stella Bacca and husband John of Las Cruces, Anna V Lucero of Albuquerque, N.M., Gina Dwyer and husband Chuck of Roswell, N.M., Collette Lucero and Fiance Matt Thompson of Roswell, N.M. He is also survived by his partner Jenny Mason and step-daughter, Sheridan Kvech. Henry is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Special thank you to niece Danielle Urquides and partner Donny Ross for helping care for him.
Viewing will be 8 am until service time at 10 am, Thursday March 29, 2018. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be held Friday March 30, 2018 from 8 to 5 pm, also at Ballard Funeral Home.
